STATEMENT OF PRINCIPLES
We understand and fully appreciate that our valued clients and customers have a right to expect a display of our utmost professional demeanour. This demeanour includes such matters as:
- Courtesy, honesty, credibility, integrity and dependability are characteristics that our staff strive to exemplify on a daily basis.
- The foregoing principles make up our policy that we project.
- With regard to the foregoing principals and our adherence thereof, we understand the need to protect the privacy of those we have business dealings with – both the consignor and the purchasers. To this end we are dedicated to ensure matters are maintained in a confidential, private and secure manner.
PRIVACY POLICY
At Bryan’s Auction Services, we respect your privacy and value our relationship with you.
Your personal information will be protected and will never be sold. Our goal is to enhance your product and service experience with us. We use your personal information for the following purposes:
- Meeting safety, security, legal and regulatory requirements;
- Providing you with information and offers about our auctions and equipment, where permitted by law;
- Showing you our advertising on other platforms, including Google and Meta, using your contact details (see “Online advertising” below);
- Conducting market analysis;
- Maintaining the accuracy of our records to respond to your inquiries and provide you with warranty or other customer service communications, and otherwise manage our relationship with you; and
- Satisfying other reasonable, legitimate business interests (such as collecting outstanding debts).
Online advertising. We may use the contact details you provide when you register, such as your email address and phone number, to show you our advertising on other platforms, including Google and Meta. We convert your details into a coded (hashed) format and upload them to the platform, which matches them to its own users so our ads can be shown to you or withheld from you. We do not upload payment or bidding-rights verification information.
Who receives your information. We share it with HiBid (402 Ventures, LLC), the platform where you register, which handles the information it collects under its own privacy policy; with service providers who help us run our business; and, for the advertising above, with Google and Meta. Some of these are located outside Canada, mainly in the United States, so your information may be subject to the laws of those places.
Cookies and tracking tags. Our website and our HiBid auction pages use cookies and tags, including from Google, to understand how our sites are used and to measure our advertising, and this may involve sharing information about your visit with Google and Meta. You can manage your choices through the cookie banner on each site or your browser settings.
Your choices. You can opt out of the advertising use of your contact details at any time at bryansauction.com/privacy or by emailing info@bryansauction.com. We will stop within 10 business days. Opting out does not affect your ability to register or bid. If you do not wish to receive notice of special offers or other marketing information, or if you would like to receive only certain types of communications from us, please let us know.
We would also be happy to answer any questions you may have about our Privacy Policy or practices, or to provide you further information about those with whom your information is shared. You can also ask to see or correct the personal information we hold about you, or make a complaint, by contacting our Privacy Officer.
