The Opportunity

We are seeking a safety conscious and customer-service oriented AZ Driver to transport agricultural equipment, vehicles, heavy equipment, and other goods throughout North America, and to drive consignor-owned vehicles between our locations. Routes in this role are primarily local and short-haul, but may include occasional trips to Northern Ontario, other provinces, or across the US border.

The Ins and Outs of the Job

Reporting directly to the Agricultural & Industrial Services Manager, the AZ driver is directly responsible for:

  • Picking up, transporting, and delivering agricultural equipment, vehicles, heavy equipment, and other non-equipment goods
  • Hauling transport and float trailers
  • Loading and unloading equipment onto float trailers
  • Securing floated equipment using appropriate strapping and tie-down procedures
  • Completing daily pre- and post-trip safety inspections
  • Maintaining accurate logs of on-duty and driving hours, routes travelled, fuel consumption, and other CVOR and company paperwork
  • Conducting pre-trip safety inspections of consignor-owned vehicles
  • Driving unloaded vehicles and equipment from the consignor location to designated company site
  • Assisting with vehicle yard set up when needed
  • Keeping AZ license up-to-date and in good standing
  • Assisting with cleaning and detailing of company-owned equipment and vehicles
  • Working according to the Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act, Highway Traffic Act, and Bryan’s health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Performing all duties with careful consideration to safeguard your health and safety, and that of your coworkers.
  • Completing other duties as assigned.

Who You Are

A safe and dependable driver, you:

  • Are extreme safety-conscious – driving and working in a way that protects you, your peers, and other drivers on the road
  • Are highly skilled at securing floated equipment and loads
  • Are diplomatic and courteous, able to work and communicate effectively with your colleagues, customers, municipalities, and other businesses

Your education and career path are likely to have culminated in:

  • Valid AZ license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to drive manual and automatic transmissions
  • Completion of high school, or equivalent life experience
  • 3+ years experience driving
  • Solid customer service skills as well as verbal and written communication abilities
  • Strong understanding of safe driving practices
  • Ability to regularly lift 50 lbs
  • Auction experience is preferred

While we’re not necessarily looking for someone who fits every one of these criteria, the person who will be successful in this role will likely meet the majority of both the hard and soft skills. A valid AZ license with a clean driving record is a must have. The Interviewing Process

Candidates can expect that the interviewing process will generally include:

  • An in-person interview with the Agricultural & Industrial Services Manager and Human Resources Manager (you’ll also have a chance to tour our facility!)
  • Professional reference checks
  • Validation of AZ license

We understand that candidates who are currently employed will have to provide a notice period and respect the need for this vital transition. While we are looking to fill this role as soon as possible, we will establish a mutually agreed upon start date.
